Out and about day.

I have a problem.  I watched the new Bravo show Tim Gunn's Guide to Fashion this morning and it inspired me to take a look at my closet.  Most of the clothes I have in there are items I bought when I worked at Target...10 years ago.  Or else they are polo style shirts that the Mr. has outgrown and I took over. *sigh*  So Off I went this morning to see if I could find anything nice in the end of summer sales. (I'm cheap with clothes hence the over 10 year old closet... there is a dress in there from the second year we were married, that was almost 20 years ago!) Bah!  I now remember why I haven't bought hardly anything in 10 years.  I'm in my forties and have kids (read that as "not a flat tummy")...  everything was either for a stick figure 16 year old or else it looked like it came out of my grandmother's closet.    Sorry to say I don't have the figure of a runway model (Never did but that's beside the point).  I guess I will have to keep these clothes in my closet for another 20 years or until they wear out.  *sigh*

Story has been going slow.  I did do rewrites on parts of previous chapters to clean up my run on sentences and the like. With the little bit I have wrote since the last post I got over 27,000 words.  Not moving very fast, huh?  I knew it was bound to happen.  I'm just surprised it took 27,000 words for the slowness to happen, that's all.

Did get to sit at my sewing machine yesterday.  I finished up the last of the stuff for the church for this Sunday.    Also turned the pant legs I cut off one of my youngest pants (she grew taller but not bigger in the waist so the pants are now shorts) into a little carrying bag.  Grandma was a waste not want not person... I guess I got a bit of that too.

Somehow I gotta convince myself to do the housework, and that involves getting off this machine.  Time to go...
