Wondering what else the day has in store... Since I have company coming tonight decided it was time to turn on the air conditioner. I dutifully change the filters since they were used all winter as heating filters and turn the machine on...I thought. Nothing happened. Humm, check and flip all switches - still nothing. Check the breaker box... well, no switches where thrown off. Scratch head some more. Try every switch I can see. Nope, not even a thump and turn back off. Starting to growl except that jaw still hurts from dentist yesterday. Decide to check wires that I may have bumped loose when changing filters... still nothing...OH WAIT! The kill switch that activates when you open the front to change the filters...Push and pull and push again...thump. AC goes on and off...push and pull some more until finally it unsticks. Whew... AC working, no emergency call to the HVAC dude. He's a nice dude but I'll bet he is swamped right now. I'll see if this fix lasts a while before calling... At least I know what the problem is this time!
