Feeling better today, so escaped down to Cincinnati for my first visit to the Cincinnati Flower Show. To be fair, this was the first year it was in this particular location but I think I was expecting more show and less shop. there were a few things that caught my eye though...

Here we have an edible hanging basket... Salad anyone? I never thought of planting my salad fixin's in a basket before. It does help the bunny/dog problem. (the bunnies sneak in to eat, the dogs then decided to chase and the dogs then stomple the plants. Dogs have no respect for my Garden..

One of the vendors had this froggie for sale. I heard him tell a lady (not me, I knew I could not afford it) that it was $500+ to buy. *sigh*

While these plants may not be what I would chose, I found the way the wood was painted to resemble books very clever...

This caught my eye as it appeared to almost be made of PaperMache but I wonder how they weatherized it?

I love the use of white in a garden for some reason. this window box display just matched that...
Over all it was a nice morning out. Parking was a problem but that was partially my fault, I have a hard time just getting out of Dayton this morning. Event seemed to be trying to force me to stay home so I got a late start...

I snuck out of the house and into the backyard today, it such a nice sunny day. There were some limbs that needed to be taken down as well as some shrubby growth to remove...and this lead me to my lilac "tree". Now there was one limb on it that was a problem, it was so low that I could not get under it with the weed eater so I determined to remove it. However it was covered with nice lilac blooms... most of those blooms followed me into the house. I love the smell of lilacs...
This weekend is Marcon, another great Gaming festival. I am SO looking forward to going, even if I am already sleep deprived. This had not been a kind week...Maybe the lilacs will bring good luck? Here's to hoping for a great end of the week.....
