finally got sleep... this is a good thing. I have had three straight days of 4 hours of sleep and I ain't as young as I used to be... I almost feel human right now. Or at least grouchy.
Got to actually play Dragon Storm on Friday, Actually I ran the game and no one complained so I guess it went well, at least ok. Then in our D&D session on Sat. night I finally found a spell that my witch could cast AND upset the GM. I'm not sure this is a good thing, up till now it was Hubby and another player that kept foiling all his baddies before he had a chance to any major damage to us. Now I'm on the hit list also - and it only took me to 19th lvl to do so. (we are still playing D&D 3.5)
I guess I need to do something that society considers useful this week, like housework but I am in the mood to be creative. I think I need a house maid - who works for free. Free is the important part since my creative endeavors do not actual bring in any income let alone enough to warrant hiring any "staff".

I got my self snowed under by the stuff I am making for the church...paper mache statues to go on the basketball goals. The finished one has an 12X18 inch base and stands about 33 inched tall. It doesn't look like it would have taken all this time but it's the paper gluing that is a problem as well as the fact that I use joint compound to smooth out the paper edges and that all needs to be sanded. Sewing the clothes on this one didn't help the time crunch any...

The second will be all painted except for the hair... the hair on both is fake fur left over from a Halloween costume I made years ago for one of the kids. The sheep in the pictured one is covered with the fake "sheepskin" that was used to cover parts of an exercise machine used for Hubby's recovery from knee surgery. The machine was rented but they said the coverings was ours to keep and no one has asked for it back on somewhere around 10 years...
Just returned for am weekend off. We went to the great gaming festival of Origins! It was great to see friends old and new again. They even let me run a few games of DragonStorm. *big grin here* Now I get to go make to the "salt mine" of my life...and finish that last statue...
****edited note: I apologize for the sideways picture... I forgot I had not ran it through the correct software to fix such problems and promise to do so in the future. ^sigh^ ****

And since I'm waiting on the paint to dry on the current project for church I thought I'd drop in.
BashCon up in Toledo went well, I think. There were not as many people as I had hoped but I did run a couple of demos and so did a couple of other people. DragonStorm is such a cool RPG... I need to send out thanks to Jason, Dave, Tim, Chris and Russ for helping run the regular games as well as Jason for running a demo for me.
Still working for the same old company - have never heard anything from the interview. *sigh* Guess I was right, I blew it. And of course, the company I currently work for has decided that now that Southwest Ohio is socked with "winter weather warnings" I must do travel stores rather than local ones. Good times, NOT. I'm rather tired of ice skating with my little truck around 1/4 of the state. And they NEVER cancel a job, they make the client cancel out. *sigh*
Still haven't done a lot of either writing or personal painting this year. Here it 3 months in and I still haven't had much energy to do that. Or time. I envy people who can make a living doing things they love. I am working on the current project for church which is an "ongoing banner". IE: it gets added to every week. I'm not wild about it in general, but it is what the minister wanted. It does have its moments... I think I will leave you with a detail of it that I DO like...
